Set Designer - Naomi Zhang

This project was inspired by a TV series called Move to Heaven. The story revolves around a trauma cleaning company that helps organize the homes of people who have passed away for various reasons.

In TV series, we can easily see that each different person has a different style of room. A room can reflect a person’s personality. It is a haven for everyone, a place where we don't have to hide. Everyone leaves traces in spaces they have been to, so I researched the rooms of the people around me. Using each room to represent the person gives the viewer a sensory experience.

The Yellow Box

The yellow box, which appears frequently in this drama, represents each of the dead and is the embodiment of the dead.

Ground Plan

I set the map according to different time and space. Art Studio is in 2018, while College and English Studio are both in the present time. Each person’s space is linked to the places they frequent. So, “Flying Fish” and “Dried Fish” are in the past, while the current college classmates are in the present.

We communicate with each other mostly on the internet. We may also get in touch with friends in the past and trace the yellow boxes of everybody. So, the internet is in the foremost position.

The difference in time and space is dealt with through the microcosm of time to show that they are spaces in a different time and space.

Route

The show go on act for 1.5 h

The route is for reference, audiance can go wherever they want to experience the whole space.
